Location. The canal facing Hotel Olimpia in Venice, Italy, is 500 metres from Venice's historic Jewish Ghetto, and one kilometre from Rialto Bridge. St Mark's Square is two kilometres away. The hotel is 100 metres from Piazzale Roma, Venice's main entry point. It's ten kilometres to Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). Hotel Features. The canal side Hotel Olimpia has a traditional Venetian facade and is decorated with 17th century furnishings. Concierge staff can plan Venice sightseeing trips and exchange currencies. The hotel has a private garden filled with fruit trees and flowers.
Complimentary American buffet breakfasts are served in the breakfast room, with panoramic canal views. Breakfasts are also served on the canalside terrace during warmer months. From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): Distance to Hotel Olimpia is ten kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. ATVO buses run every 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma in the city centre, 100 metres from the hotel. The journey time is 20 minutes and single tickets cost 3 EUR. The ACTV number 5 bus also goes to Piazzale Roma. The number 15 bus runs between the airport and Venice Mestre train station. At Piazzale Roma, water buses (vaporetto) are available. A free bus service links the airport terminal to the airport jetty; from here, regular Alilaguna boats leave for the city. Single tickets cost 10 EUR. Private water taxis are available, but are typically very expensive. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Fondamentale delle Buerchielle. Venice is best explored on foot or by public water buses (vaporetto). Three day passes for the public water bus cost 25 EUR and offer unlimited travel. Water taxis and gondolas are also available. Gondolas for St Mark's Square leave from just outside the hotel. Gondola ferries (traghetti) cross the Grand Canal and the fare is 50 cents. Drivers can leave their cars at secure garage car parks in Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto.
