From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): Distance to Hotel Petit Palais is 10 kilometres, a journey time of approximately 50 minutes.
Getting there. The Alilaguna shuttle boat service runs to and from the airport to Lido. The service runs from 5 a.m. to 11.50 p.m. and costs 12 EUR.
Getting around. Venice is best explored on foot or by public water buses (vaporetto). Three day passes for the public water bus cost 25 EUR and offer unlimited travel. Water taxis and gondolas are also available. Gondola ferries (traghetti) cross the Grand Canal and the fare is 50 cents. Drivers must leave their cars at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto.
